Which one's better?

Just like any other mornings, mom will wake-up early to prepare her and daddy's lunchboxes. There are times when she and dad leave together and there are times when mom stays behind (specially when I woke up before she can even set foot on the car). Mom will quietly fix some stuff in the room until it is time for her to get ready for office. Today is no exception. It is already 8am (mom's work starts @ 8:30) and mom is getting ready to take her bath when suddenly I decided to open my eyes and make "lambing." I made her open all my bucket of toys before I let her go to the bathroom. In 5 mins she's done and to return the favor, I assisted her in putting her belt on. She's really in a hurry so she doesn't have the time to even dry her hair. I have to shout to her that her back is "Basa!" but she never minds it. I fixed the bottom of her pants and tried to check if her blouse was tucked-in. After that she hurriedly kissed me goodbye but Atchi is in the bathroom and yaya was doing the laundry while mama has gone somewhere. She looked really confused as she doesn't want to be late at the same time she doesn't want to leave me alone. So she called yaya to go up while I do the usual mom tailing/tagging. Mom looked very sad as she saw me with my "dont go yet mom" look while she is getting ready to ride the tricycle. *Sigh!* Sometimes she wonders which one is worse, for me to wake up and she's no longer around... or for me to wake-up and play for a while then leave while I'm crying. *Another Sigh!*

First Dental Appointment

It was a bliss! I behaved well the entire procedure and never did I complain. It was my first time so my dentist explained what she will do and showed me her equipment. She made me understand what I should feel when she start the process and asked me if it is ok before she proceed. My dentist told me I was so obedient, following everything she asked of me. Like laying in my back without moving, not swallowing, opening my mouth wide, and then finally gargling/spitting.

Puzzle Lover!

Here's some of my collection which I completed, arranged in line and then photoshoot:

Then I'm bugging errr, asking dad and mom to buy me some more.

Talkative me!

Hey, I mastered my alphabet already and can count until 20 with 16-19 missing. I have so many words now and can express myself clearly. I love puzzles too. I have four 24pc puzzle and a 15pc Lion King puzzle which I usually play with mommy every night. Oh, and I'm requesting for more. I also know how to jump!

There may be times when I will go out of the gate shouting"Kids, where are you?" because I needed to play (and mommy can't help but smile because I talk like an adult looking for kids which were all bigger than I).

And mommy is oh so delighted whenever I hug her and I told her, "catch yah!", She finds that so sweet. While daddy and me were fond of playing rough with each other. I would sometimes whisper "tiptoe - tiptoe - tiptoe" until I was wrapping my arms around daddy's neck from the back choking him, and then he will carry me upside down... hahaha..!

Its so fun and Dad and Mom were around... except maybe when its eating time.

But due to bad weather, it was cancelled, yet again! Rain, Rain go away come again another day, Duncan and Mommy like to play!

ABC Music with Teacher Ces

Dad and Mom doesn't have a clue on what we're doing in my ABC Music with teacher Ces but they sure were convinced that I so looking forward to Tuesdays because of this class. When mom asked me the night before what am I going to do the next day, in my hurried expression I will shout, "ABC Music with Teacher Ces!" There is this one peculiar day when all of the sudden I was very sick and few hours after I was completely ok, I insisted on attending ABC Music even if I missed my class with teacher Kat. There were times when Mom caught me humming and acting some songs and it really means so much to her. They have no idea how fun it is!

Here's one proof:

Mom will soon find out...!

  1. Walls made of chairs.
  2. Roof made of huge blanket.
  3. Floor made of soft bathroom towel.
  4. Door made of movable toy rack.
  • Fixing my car track in a straight line and putting every piece of my car neatly from the starting line up to the end thereby making a major traffic! (in our room that is)
  • Playing with my Thomas and ABC train.
  1. Arranging my mattress like a slide such that one end touches the bed and the other at the floor.
  2. Placing my train on the upper side and let it slide down below!
  3. and finally I slide (too bad the mattress cannot hold my weight...tsk, tsk)
  • As usual, I still love to tape everything in the wall. That includes:
  1. some of the cool ads from the newspaper
  2. brochure I have collected from outside
  3. stickers
  4. posters
  5. some interesting paper
  • Play gotcha with mommy
  1. Mommy at the other side of the room holding a small racquet
  2. Me at the other side holding my own racquet and a ball
  3. I hit the ball so that it will go to Mommy's side
  4. Mommy will hit the ball too and try her best not to let me touch the ball with my racquet.
  5. I win everytime I got to touch the ball.... and I never lose!

Bee Kids!

I woke up today in a not-so-good mood. I caught Daddy and Mommy dressing up and preparing to go to their office. With eyes still closed I told Mommy I want to watch "Bee-kids". I also told her I want to go to her office too, thus, she was left with no choice but to cancel her plans of being early in office today.

After drinking my milk, we read my "circus" and "river" books and then we proceeded on making my homework. We're almost done, when I decided I really wanted to go to Bee kids (that's what I refer to Jolllibee now). Cry, cry cry for me.... while sigh, sigh, sigh for Mommy. After so much cry-sigh... I won! Its almost 8:10am and Mommy needs to be in her office by 8:30am so to be able to make that possible.... I definitely should go with her.

And so .... Mommy dropped me and yaya to Jollibee. Yey! I am really a (brat) bee kid!

Weekend in Batangas!

Yey! Since it was a long weekend, we went home to my mommy lola's place in Batangas last Saturday. They were all very excited to see me and they were all so happy that I can already say my alphabet, count my numbers from 1-10, count numbers 1-5 in Mandarin, and I can actually speak words. They were having a hard time speaking in English though. hehehe.

Duncan and tatay lolo while cooking (inihaw na bangus... yummmm)

This is my Tito Tebobs - "ang puti ko noh?"

Biking at the side of the house

Kung-fu Duncan

I got to bond with my "Tatay yoyo" and "Mommy yoya", and my tito Bobet and tita Angie. My "yoyo Rhey" was also there from Singapore... (because he needs to see a dentist). It was fun playing with my smaller tita's and really its nice to be in the "duyan" which was a new experience for me. I always tell my Titas to "hold tight and be careful!".

It was short actually for we left the very next day... but it was fun!

On Monday, holiday.... Daddy brought Mommy and I to V-mall where we ate at Le Ching (yummy soup and siomai) and I played in Quantum... I missed it so much that I really wanted to stay some more. At night time... I fall asleep with a big ZZZzzzzzzzzzzz!

Tomorrow's another class with Teacher Kat, and Teacher Cez of ABC Music and Me.

Of thank you's and Sowi

Duncan ready to sleep:

Mommy: Duncan, you like milk?
Duncan: Yeah.
Mommy: Big or small? (pertaining to the size of the bottle)
Duncan: Big!

Mommy about to prepare the milk. Duncan came rushing. Wanting to prepare his own milk. Mommy will put down the can of his old time favorite powdered infant/junior milk and opens the Avent bottle filled with distilled water.

Duncan : One, Two, Three, Four, Five... oppsss... sowi mommy.

There was spilled powder on the floor. He will rush to the nearest "lampin" to clean the mess. Mommy about to touch the scoop...

Duncan: Mommy, No! Duncan!
Mommy: Ok... Sorry.

Will wait for few more minutes perhaps half a century until he finishes his 9 scoops of milk which should have been finished 1 minute tops.

Duncan: Yey! Finish Now!
Mommy: ok.. go to bed... mommy will shake...

After settling down.

Mommy: Here's your milk. Sleeping Time!
Duncan: Thanks Mommy! (complete with hugs and kiss)

Oh... every waiting minutes is so worth it!

First Assessment blow-out!

There was no school today because teacher Kat told me she also needs to assess other kids. It was a good thing that I caught Mommy about to leave for office. Uhuh... so in order for me to stay calm... she promised me a blow-out!

I'am really excited and I can't wait to go to Jollibee. Yaya will be bring me to Jollibee, Roosevelt over lunch where mommy will meet us. Oh it was fun! While waiting I got to play on their Jolly Land and when mommy came, she ordered chicken, spaghetti and my favorite Frenh Fries. I even got my bonus... she bought me a toy.

And for the finale... she brought me to her office! I've got to see her officemates and I told them that my name is "Marcos"! Tita Ma-anne, mommy's boss, marked my height on the wall of her office just so when I come back... she will check again if I've gone taller.

I even counted and identified some numbers and letters in Tita Lot's flashcards and she seems impressed. I also kissed tita Yvette and Tita Lou and a high five to tito Mark. And then I bid goodbye.

So this is the kind of blow-out I will always have everytime I get a very good stamp in my assessment!

Till next quarter!

First Quarter Assessment

Yesterday, it was Mandarin Class assessment... I went home with a stamp with a chinese-like character and a bear - for whatever that means... Dad and Mom has no idea.

Today, is our class first quarter assessment. I know my alphabet... although sometimes I confuse my Aa and Ii with some letters but the rest are oh so easy. I also know my numbers although sometimes I forget what number "1 & 2" looks like but the rest especially my 3-4-5 are easy and I can identify even in my sleep. Colors.... hmmm... its very strange that I can't quite identify and match them... but I know I'll get there one day. My assessment started 9:00am and ended 10:00am. I went home with a "very good" stamp. Well mommy will look at my communication notebook if I did well.

But I'm sure - she'll be happy for whatever it is written in there.

Mom's really proud and happy because last night I surprised her with a "Hi, Mommy!" Yey! I got passed the "M" problem. I even called myself "Marcos", too.

Because you love me.....

Dad and mom you sacrificed a lot so I can be happy and eventhough it rained so hard, I thank you Daddy for driving all the way from home to World Trade Center in Pasay City so I can be a part of .....Jollitown Grand Get Together !

That's me with the Balloon Mom got (oh she used her big body so she can get pass the crowd of people all ready to do anything for a balloon... funny, nobody can really say what one can ever do for their kid!)

Oh I was really afraid we're not going to make it because it took us about 3 Jollibee stores and still have no entrance tickets. But after all the very loooooooong lines you both have to go through I am really happy I got to be here!

There's the :
- photo booth (we have our pictures taken - for free as a souvenir) which Mommy and Daddy have to stand in line for hours... yes this is not exaggeration but the the truth

- balloon twisting (where I got my helmet and sword)

I looked like Alladin... hehehe.

- tattoo (which I treasured so much)

and basketball hoops - this I really enjoyed!

More words for Duncan

Daddy enters the room and sees Duncan in the corner. Looks like he's thinking again on how to climb on top on the boxes.

Daddy : "Hi Duncan."
Duncan : in his deep thoughts blurted out, "hi daddy!" and then back to his deep thoughts again.

In the bed,

Mommy : "Duncan, it's Sunday tomorrow. Where are we going?"
Duncan: "Church!"
Mommy : "Who is in the church?"
Duncan: "Dunca and Jesus Christ!
Mommy : amazed. can't remember if she even told him that. "What are we doing in the
church?"
Duncan : "Pray!"
Mommy : more amazed. but then agrees with Daddy that what he really meant was "play" because basically he sees this as his opportunity to meet/play with other kids roaming around the church.

I'm 3 years old!

A very serious birthday boy

"My hands are praying, praying, praying! My hands are praying just like this. Thank you Lord for the food we're about to eat. Amen!"

Happy Birthday, Duncan!

Duncan's 3rd Birthday Cake

My 3rd birthday celebration is quite simple but enjoyable. In the morning, I woke up and was greeted with hugs and kisses by Daddy and Mommy. I also went down the laundry area to greet yaya because it also is her birthday.

At 12pm, Dad and Mom arrived at the school for my party. I got so excited to see them! Mom cooked all my favorite food : kiddie spaghetti, hotdogs and nuggets. For the drinks, it was my favorite tetra packed juice. I choose Thomas and friends to be my theme but it was really hard looking for favors and cake to suit my theme. I think it worked out just fine, with my cake having Thomas at the center and everything else was a DIY. My friend, Nicco, lend us his Thomas banner (so sweet!).

I lead the prayer and then my classmates sang a birthday song for me under the parachute and then I blew the candle in my birthday cake. And then we eat. Unfortunately for me, I was so excited, I was not able to eat well. After eating, I went to give them their lootbags while receiving my gifts! Thank you to my classmates: Ayra, Julienne, Manu, Ria, Nicco, CJ and Iggy who were all present to celebrate my birthday.

We went to Trinoma that night to have dinner and to eat my favorite "chicke" at Bacolod Chicken Inasal. I usually eat half a cup of rice everytime I eat in this place and tonight is no exception.

Checking on the menu...

"Kinilig kay Juday!"

Tasting the soup

Duncan and Daddy
Mommy!

Dad and mom actually allow me to go wherever I want in the mall and so I went to my favorite part of all... the play area! I got to climb like spiderman! and to slide and to do anything I want! I really have fun!

How 'bout that?

In the evening, Ninang Julie was there to see me. Its been a year since I last see her.

Random facts about me as I turned 3:

- I'm the sweetest guy in the world.

I love kisses and hugs and when mom gets hurt, (most of the time because I am so hyper) I see to it that I touch her and blow the part where she is hurt. There is also a kiss and a hug ready when Dad and Mom arrive home from office. I love it when mommy rocks me in a rocker until I fall asleep. For sure she will terribly miss this when I grow older (by then she cannot hold me any longer ...)

- I usually like to be on my Daddy's side during weekends.

When he is doing something other than play with me, i'll see to it that I get the attention I needed. I climb on his back...press the keyboard of this laptop as fast as i can...seat on his lap...grab his screwdrivers and hammer or whatever it is in his hands while he is reparing something. Well, sometimes he just laughs at it but sometimes.... I ran to mommy when his face turned red. I like to follow him everywhere because I know every weekend is a get-away-from-the-house-day where we went to the mall, or grocery... I always wanted to be sure they will not leave me behind.

- I sleep beside Mommy.

We co-sleep. We have combined Daddy's bed when he was still young (which I now use) and a king sized bed so we have a huge sleeping space. But mom or dad carries me back to my pillow every twice or more times in the middle of the night because I always end up at the wrong side of the bed. The solution that mom did was to sleep at the bottom part so I am spared of ending up at the floor.

- I am diaper free.

Although sometimes... there were accidental leaks... it happens to everyone... right? I just cannot keep it a secret when I poop because it helps when I say o - oooooooooooooohhhh until I shout "finish now!"

- I am still in my infant formula

What can I do I am loyal to my formula? From NAN-HA 1 & 2 , I am now in NAN 3. Still drinking from my ever favorite Avent Feeding Bottle (I hate the smell of milk).

- I love singing and dancing
Mom and I sings "I love you song" of Barney every night. I sang to the rain to stop when its raining. My favorite song includes: twinkle twinkle little star, you'll be in my heart, Sesame st songs, Fun song factory songs. I dance to the rhythm of the song either slow and fast beat... hotdog, hotdog! (from mickey mouse clubhouse)

- I know how to ride my bike

But still with balancer. At least I know how to pedal the right way.

- I loved going to school

I'm very attentive... according to teacher.

- I have my own laptop (courtesy of Dad)

Where I usually plays "Jumpstart"

- I am so fascinated about all the things that Daddy do

Which sometimes puts me in trouble...

- I like going inside the cabinets

Entry to the left door and exit to the right door. This causes mom's insanity to kick in because then she will redo the folds of all the shirts inside.

- Eating is my less favorite thing to do

I'm a terrible eater as I don't usually eat by myself.... there were glorious times however, when I went to "Atchi" to request her to cook my chicken nuggets with fun shapes and eat the whole thing up without having to wash my hands in between.

- I hate dirt

My clothes should be always dry and clean, otherwise i will end up being naked. I hate it when my hands become dirty or sticky.

- I love to play

From stuffed toys to cars to trains to the things under the mattress to the things inside the ref to the things inside the helper's room, to the playstation of Ninong Ian, to Mama's make-up (they were nice crayons!), to the small fragile pigs under the living room table to the wooden cows standing at the porch, to the smallest garbage blown by the wind in the garage, to yaya's used water in the laundry area, to the soap in the bathroom, to the neighbor's cats and dogs, basically anything except cockroaches, living lizards and ugly little bugs.

- I love arts

I love to cut paper and then stick it in the wall using a tape. Our wall now was well decorated with all the stuff I wanted. Most of them were usually pictures of Jollibee, mickey mouse, cars, even my favorite "moonmilk mascot".

- I love bubbles

I love it specially when mommy blows bubbles when I'm taking a bath. Bubble in my tummy, bubble in my hands... bubbles... bubbles!

And Daddy and Mommy loves me so much.
